BioI write...a LOT. I have an entire series of original fiction published on my own website but I've fallen into a rut with that and am suffering a temporary writer's block, so when I find myself stuck with my original work I turn to fanfiction writing (mostly FF7 based) to keep the creative juices flowing. I post my fanfiction under the name "Xenobia" on Y!Gallery, Fanfiction.Net, AFF.net and MediaMiner.org (it's "Lady Xenobia" on MM.org).
I believe in women's bodily autonomy and make no apologies for the strong belief that women have as much right as men to decide when and if their bodies are used by another...this includes a fetus. This does not "discriminate" against the unborn, rather it gives them the exact same rights as any born person when it comes to using a woman's body. I rarely participate in abortion debates anymore because I've found that yelling back and forth with prolifers accomplishes nothing in the long run. Instead, I write congress, use my vote and donate whenever I can towards funds that will help prevent unwanted pregnancy and provide women with health care-including prenatal health care.
I strongly believe in GLBT rights. I believe it's discrimination to deny rights to part of the population that others enjoy simply because they prefer their own gender in a relationship or prefer to be/dress up as the gender they weren't "born" as. At least half of my friends are gay, lesbian, trans or bi and it burns me up to think of their rights being curtailed because of how they were born. I believe if the powers that be didn't want people to be homosexual, they wouldn't have made them that way to begin with.
I believe the male cast of Final Fantasy 7 can never be outdone in hotness. ;-)
